Soldotna, Alaska · 46th season · since 1981

Fish the Kenai from our own riverbank.

Guided salmon and halibut charters with log cabins on the river.

Home for the week

Nine cabins along a spruce boardwalk.

Handcrafted from Alaskan spruce and built on the scale of the great Alaskan lodges. Touch a pin to walk the row.

The run chart

What is running, and in which weeks.

Imagine the Kenai one day for salmon, a giant Pacific halibut the next, silvers and ling cod out of Seward, then a fly-out with the bears for partners. Every trip from the lodge hangs off this calendar. Not sure which week fits? Call us at 1-800-625-2324 and we will help you plan it.

Pinks return in the millions every even year in August. Rainbow trout and Dolly Varden are best late, in September. The Kenai River is now closed to king fishing; when the Alaska Department of Fish and Game restricts kings, we substitute the best salmon option going.

5th

“This was our fifth stay at the lodge.”

“We limited out on different species when fishing on the Vader with captain Don, we limited out on our halibut charter from Deep Creek, enjoyed two river fishing adventures with our guide Kyle and enjoyed fishing on the river banks.”

guiding on the Kenai since

Off the boat

We fillet it, vacuum seal it, freeze it and box it.

Every group gets a tote for the day’s catch. Back at the resort the fish house processes it onsite, and most packages include 50 to 100 pounds and up to two insulated airline approved boxes per person. Wednesday night is the Fish Fry and BBQ.
